Tasting Notes: Ruby red robe. A complex nose with fresh aromas of black fruits and spices: blackcurrant, blueberry, blackberry, pepper and some smoked notes. Dense in the mouth, a silky tannins finish blended with candied red fruits aromas. Nice length and fresh on the palate. A great aging potential.


The Estate: Sept Étoiles Saint Gervais is a luxury chalet, they don’t own any vines themselves. They buy grapes from the best plots around. They are located in Saint-Gervais-les-Bains, a commune in the Haute-Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of southeastern France. This area is part of the French Alps, known for its scenic beauty and popular ski resorts. Saint-Gervais-les-Bains is close to Mont Blanc, Europe's highest mountain, making it a desirable location for both winter sports and summer activities. They emphasize with organic and sustainable practices in their operations.


Traditional winemaking and selected plot. Four to five weeks vatting. 12 to 15 months barrel aging. Clay and limestone soil with sand and stony plateau.


Suggested food and wine pairing: Great with game (venison, boar, duck), beef stew, roast lamb,  roast chicken and turkey, barbecued or grilled pork tenderloin, mushroom dishes (ragout, risotto), veg ratatouille, lentil stews or casseroles, dishes with olives, tomatoes and herbs, cheese (Gouda, Comté, aged Cheddar, blue cheese).
