Tasting Notes: The wine has a fine colour, dark and deep with a purple-violet tint, and an open, expansive bouquet containing suggestions of oak subtly mingled with red fruit and blackcurrant. Roundness combines with a solid tannic structure on luscious ripe fruit and pleasant, well-integrated oak. The rich flavours and full tannins are expressed in a long, harmonious, complete finish, revealing a wine with considerable potential.


The Estate: The estate has a rich history dating back to the 18th century. Originally known as Château Mouton d’Armailhacq, it was acquired by the Baron Philippe de Rothschild in 1933, who later shortened. The name to Château d’Armailhac.
